If You Just Believe – Fort Lauderdale Gay Men’s Chorus Concert presented in part by the South Florida Gay News (SFGN)įt Lauderdale Gay Men’s Chorus proudly presented If You Just Believe on Saturday December 7th, 2019 at 8pm. Thank you for being part of our extended family and we look forward to seeing you on May 7th. We invite you to join us on May 7th to stand with us in support of love and inclusion.
We still do so by building and bringing together communities (instead of dividing them): with Music. We have stood up against this type of bullying and discrimination for 35 years. Unfortunately, this is not the first time our community has been targeted in this state. We at FTLGMC strongly oppose this new law and the targeting of LGBTQ students and families. It's known as the ' Don't Say Gay Bill' and is set to take effect on July 1, 2022. “Don’t Say GAY” is one reason! This March and April 2022, Florida state legislators passed the ' Parental Rights in Education' bill and it was signed into law by Governor Ron DeSantis. We’re Florida’s very 1st LGBTQ+ Arts Organization, and we are still very much needed: Our 35th Anniversary Concert, WHY WE SING, on Saturday May 7th was a huge success! Thank you to our friends, family and special guests Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Mayor Dean Trantalis and Deborah Kerr for making it a glorious celebration.
